Google to shut down Adsense Video Units

End of April this year, Google is discontinuing its Adsense Video Units.

In a recent blog post Google has announced that they are now looking to shut down the Adsense video unit because it “hasn’t had the impact hoped for.” Starting from March 27, the option to sign up for video ad units is not available for new publishers.

Google Ads becoming “Interest Based”

Search Engine giant Google Inc is now looking at making their online ads show based on the end user’s web browing history.

With the new program, now called “interest based” advertising, Google will be able to consider the web browsing history of an individual, and will be able to throw in more of the type of ads that the individual will be interested in.

According to an extensive study undertaken by Panda Security, about 10 million PCs all over the world are infected with ID theft malware, designed to steal secure information such as passwords, bank account information, etc.
Panda Security runs a free online scanner which helps users to check their PCs online for viruses and malware. The report come as a result of scanning about 67 million PCs all over the world. A few days after the release of the improved version of it’s eBook reader Kindle, Amazon has announced that it would give publishers the right to turn off the “text-to-speech” option for specific titles as they see fit. This decision was taken following protests voiced out by the president of the Authors Guild, Roy Blount Jr., in his write-up in NewYork times. As per Blount, “Kindle 2 is not paying anyone for audio rights” and this undermined the market for the professional audio books that are sold separately.
