Nokia eyeing the PC market

There had been rumors in the industry about Nokia’s plans to move into the PC market. A recent comment from Nokia’s Chief Executive Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo now confirms this.

To be shipped in May or June this year, AlwaysInnovating put their new two-pound touchbook at $399 dollars at the bleeding-edge DEMO conference in Palm Desert, California.

The device has an 8.9-inch, 1024 by 600-pixel display, and was running on a custom Linux based OS, but the company says that it can be modified to run Windows CE. Other goodies like WiFi and Bluetooth are part of the package, with 6 USB ports and a good battery life of 10-15 hours on the hardware side as claimed.

For most people who do not know, Revver is a video hosting website like Youtube, but also providing a money-making option.
Youtube is the most popular (so far) video sharing website out there, but does not give you any money-making option. Revver bridges this gap by adding a clickable ad to the end of movies or videos you upload on them. For every click that comes out of your video, you can get $0.70 on an average.
